Ubiquiti Unifi Wifi Facebook social Wifi login

In a Ubiquiti / Unfi Wi-Fi environment, it’s fairly easy to create a separate guest WiFi network and let visitors authenticate with their Facebook login.

Your Wi-Fi guest guest profile must be linked to a Facebook company page. This is done on the Unifi network application / controller.

If you link the Guest profile to one particular Facebook page for testing purposes and then want to change to a different Facebook page when going into production, you will get the following error:
Could not load guest Wi-Fi settings. either this router is not available, or you are not an admin of the page connected.

If you open Facebook.com in a separate web browser tab, you will find that you’re logged on with the Facebook user that owns your current test company Facebook page. Logging out from Facebook will allow you to choose a new Facebook company page in the Unifi Wireless controller, but you will still be met with the same error message (even if you’re the owner of the page you’re trying to add):

Could not load guest Wi-Fi settings. either this router is not available, or you are not an admin of the page connected.

To get rid of this error, change the name of your Unifi Guest profile. Changing this name will reset all settings and the error message above will disappear.
